ReplyDeleteInteresting shot, i like the lighting in the folds of the curtains and the top to bottom gradient of light. It could have used a different angle perhaps or some cropping to focus attention more and let viewers know what you thought was poignant about the shot.
Steph,
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. Colors are nice and vivid. Only thing I could suggest is having a bit more contrast between the blue and the black to give it that extra sharpness and punchy look.
That is all.
Frank!
ReplyDeleteok, so I hear you got a lot of flak for this shot. so here goes:
the strongest part of this photo is definitely your idea, which is, I think, the most difficult part of any photo/image/design etc.
so to strengthen your idea, I might have even zoomed further into the eye, so there is less distraction around the focal point. Or, to punch the eye out more, given more contrast to the iris. so I guess it's about finding your story (window to soul), and really communicating it as succinctly as possible. does that make sense?kw
vince,
ReplyDeletethe color, lighting and exposure is great in this shot. the dark frame and stain glass contrast nicely.
Taking frank's first lesson in mind, I would shift the photo (or crop it - woohoo frank's 2nd lesson) so it follows the rule of thirds a little closer.
great shot, is this your church?
